Selling You - The Media Show

New episode!

A viewer asks a question about ads she's only seen in New York City. What are they all about? Why don't we see them anywhere else?

Advertising to Advertisers
Intern loves this episode. Intern used to be a media planner for an advertising agency, and remembers seeing these ads in the subway when intern was still in advertising. As a media planner, whose job it is to place advertisements, the thought of choosing an ad placement based on an ad you saw in the subway was laughable. Intern knows that the advertising industry likes to have it's own powerful and self-referential world, but this is ridiculous. You're also showcasing how you see your consumers to them during their daily commute. Intern thinks this is just a bad idea all around. A funny, but bad, idea.
